Innovation week at UAEU
Every February, the UAE celebrates innovation month, which is considered a national event that celebrates and encourages passionate organizations to present and display their initiatives.
The UAE University took a place to celebrate this occasion at a different level; students, faculty, and administrative departments. We took this chance to present the following:
- Classroom of the future showcase: where we presented our classroom technology, which supports the hybrid environment and is supported by the latest technologies to enhance the learning experience.
- The UAEU Application innovative idea competition: where students shared their feedback and their ideas to improve our mobile applications such as; the UAEU Mobile app and UAEUBot app, and students with the most innovative ideas received awards for their participation.
We chose to use this as an opportunity to act upon students’ feedback to enhance our IT services.

UAEU Tech Rally Showcase
On September 2022, Dell, in collaboration with the university's division of information technology, hosted the Dell Tech Rally showcase to celebrate the 10-year-long strategic partnership between the two organizations and the continuous work together to support the UAE University's academic journey.
The event also showcased Dell's latest technologies and products and presented them to Ms. Afra Alshamsi and the DoIT team.
GITEX 2022 Participation
In October 2022, DoIT had a stand at GITEX Global 2022, which was held at Dubai World Trade Center. As a leading educational institution in the UAE, we presented our innovative technologies, which support excellence in technology and learning.
During our participation, our visitors discovered; the UAEUBot App our AI-empowered virtual assistant, and our UAEU classroom conferencing technology journey through the years (2002 – 2023) which support the hybrid experience such as; video conferences rooms, Classroom of the Future, Link Yanah, and Fatima Lecture room and, our future plans to upgrade all classrooms at UAE University.
In the opening ceremony, we were honored by H.E. Zaki Nusseibeh’s visit to our stand in GITEX Global 2022.
