The world of IT is an ever-changing one, and that is why at DoIT, we always keep our services up to date and our responses to challenges proactive. Coping up with new and sudden changes is no less of a challenge than getting matters back to normal after a change has been eliminated. The 2022 is the year of things being back to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the year when we are celebrating the end of a very rough 2 years and getting ready to welcome our students and staff back to their offices and study halls.

With the university back to almost its full capacity, DoIT had to do some major classroom enhancements and technology updates to get the class halls ready to welcome UAEU students as they return to campus. These enhancements include, but are not limited to, smart screen replacements, AV equipment updates, and the introduction of some new classroom technologies.

DoIT also focused more this year on enhancing digital services to keep up with the local and international trends toward adopting new technologies in this field, and to provide the university community with the most up-to-date services in this area.

IT Infrastructure was also a point of focus for DoIT in 2022. The IT infrastructure in the UAEU has always been described as a very robust and resilient one, and in 2022, DoIT invested in enhancing it to make it even better. Enhancements were made to make the IT infrastructure capable of standing in the face of current and future requirements and challenges.

Security is a critical part of the IT world, and in DoIT, we take the responsibility of protecting our community against any IT security violations very seriously. This year, we focused more on enhancing our IT security to provide better protection for our valuable data and our community. We also emphasized the need for creating IT self-security awareness for all members of the university community by raising awareness in this regard through different channels, workshops, and publications.

As the year 2022 ends, and we welcome a new year, DoIT will always strive to provide the best and most up-to-date IT services to the university community to facilitate and enrich the teaching and learning process as well as equip the university staff with the latest needed IT services, time/cost saving IT solutions to perform their jobs efficiently with the help of the most up to date technologies and solutions.
