ISO 9001:2015
DoIT always strives to adhere and implement to the best IT practices and international industry standards. In 2013, DoIT went through a journey of transformation to become an ISO certified division. In 2021, DoIT was able to acquire a new certification ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems in our Data Center, which allows us to ensure that our users get consistent, and the best-quality products and services, which in turn brings many benefits to the university Moreover, DoIT is ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified and both standards need to be recertified once every 3 years. In the new recertification, the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 has been upgraded to the 2018 version and DoIT maintained having both certifications by acquiring the recertifications.
Centralized Unix/Linus Authentication
Until recently, Linux authentication through centralized identity services such as Active Directory was very complicated, and it required joining a server or workstation manually to the domain. However, this complexity has been significantly reduced and DoIT successfully implemented Quest One identity Privileged Access Suite for Unix which is capable of authenticating users on Unix systems with Active Directory as well as Centralized management of policies across Unix/Linux servers, and this security practice easily allows us to maintain centralized identity services.
